They come up in relationship spreads often to show building trust. While trust itself is an intangible concept, the building of trust is done by tangible means. A lot of people struggle with pents because they are so obviously related to careers and money, but we forget they are also earth, nature, seed, produce, food, gifts, clothing, home, etc. They also symbolize fertility, nurturing, growth, and production. And sex, too. The kind that's very physically oriented rather than emotional or spiritual.
