(Your broken record here) Your writing on Tarot is utterly publishable. I think that when *you* are ready the right offer will be there. You inspire, make your readers laugh, give life to these cards. You have a gift for helping the rest of us find new and more meningful (on plenty of levels) ways to relate to these symbols.katherinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02423414579905745934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30754098.post-11047554953143106472007-01-04T15:02:00.000-05:002007-01-04T15:02:00.000-05:00Hi Ginny,

I love your writing. It's saucy, has character and pizzaz. I remember thinking at the time that you should definitely turn your ramblings into a book while also feeling that you probably would do so and that others would also love it. I'm sure you have heard this plenty of times but I guess the point I am trying to make is that people are looking for authentic, REAL stuff these days. The day before I found your blogspot I spent 4 hours going through Tarot books in a huge bookstore in Portland called Powell's. I was disgusted and a bit frustrated because so many of the books bored me to tears or were the seriously stiff yet supposedly 'profound' esoteric stuff. blah blah blah aaggh. I reckon Tarot, like life is meant to be fun. And intimate. Touching. Real stuff people can relate to. Like your descriptions of the Court Cards. That's the stuff that makes the cards come to life and makes people like me willing and happy to spend $15 on a book.

Brad JacobsonAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30754098.post-15613691303437228202007-01-03T17:03:00.000-05:002007-01-03T17:03:00.000-05:00I think any publishing house that does metaphysica...I think any publishing house that does metaphysical books would love your work -- 7 or Swords being an ass or not ;)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30754098.post-14646893629095426272007-01-03T15:54:00.000-05:002007-01-03T15:54:00.000-05:00Yeah, Leisa Refalo from The Tarot Connection told ...Yeah, Leisa Refalo from The Tarot Connection told me about Lulu.com. It's a great site and service and I will definitely consider using it. That solves the problem of a publisher not appreciating my *ahem* colorful interpretations. ;)Ginny Claytonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03759784851970527096noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30754098.post-65304603864014236242007-01-03T15:10:00.000-05:002007-01-03T15:10:00.000-05:00You know Ginny that www.Lulu.com is a Self-Publish...You know Ginny that www.Lulu.com is a Self-Publishing site, Where you can pulblish Books, Cd's, Calanders and more. Think I'll find a publisher who doesn't mind me saying the 7 of swords guy is an ass? ;)Ginny Claytonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03759784851970527096noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30754098.post-18886049121017753462007-01-03T12:50:00.000-05:002007-01-03T12:50:00.000-05:00I know it's a case of "it's so easy to suggest, bu...I know it's a case of "it's so easy to suggest, but not really to do", but have you ever thought of taking some of what you've written here in your blog and putting it into a book and shopping around some proposals? Some of the tarot books out there are pretty bad and simply parrot each other. The gems are rare. If anyone was meant to do a while book on this stuff, it's you! It's not a standard "job", but it would pay off in the end (well...hopefully).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
